Know Who Your Friend Are
Some people honestly need to know who their friends really are.
(And yes, I can end a sentence with a preposition.)
People meet people at work, or at church
and they accept them into their circle.
They go a few places with them, spend some time with them.
Meet their family.
Go to their weddings...
They refer to them as their "friends"
and most people don't think twice
about using the title of 'friend' for other people.
But, do they really
know who their friends are?
What is a friend?
A popular saying is,
"A friend in need, is a friend in deed."
The last part of the sentence,
"A friend in deed" hits the nail on the head.
A friend is someone who's actions are
thoughtful and kind
in regards
to the relationship of a friend.
I am here to be a good friend.
Because if for some reason I am, "Away"
my friends and family can
look here to see that I am okay,
"No worries."
I am here
out of simple love
and respect for others.
Life changes.
But, most people remain the same.
I remain the same, consistently here...
I am here at this diary most days
because I love you
And I have been here the whole time.
ps.
(Yes, I can start a sentence with a conjunction.)
