Let's play, "how would you feel?"
Right after that, we play sensate focus. Okay? Here we go.
How would you feel?
The phone rings and you answer it, "hello?" You hear my voice but are not sure that it is me.
The woman says, "May I speak to ### please?"
You pause suspeciously, "This is ###."
"My name is Maggie Penny, I am Peggy Penny's sister. Her voice sounds flat and controlled, like she is reading from a script.
You are not sure if it's a joke.
"I am calling to tell you that my sister Peggy passed away last night in a car accident."
"Please be advised that the tabloids and papers are to be avoided at this time to assure to her memory. Services will be private for family only. Thank you for understanding. Good-bye."
Click.
"What?"
You check the internet. Several links show a horrible accident scene and say that Peggy was driving drunk!
She lost control of her car and crashed head-on into a van with a mother and her three children. All were killed.
You go to Peggy's diary and see that it's entries are zeroed out, but it's still there. Her web site and everything on google is still there as though nothing is wrong.
You are confused and can't find out the truth. You fly to #$%^&*() and find your way to the address that Peggy gave you.
You knock on the door and Peggy answers the door, all sunshine and smiles. "Hello, may I help you?"
"Peggy, it's me, ###."
The woman looks suddenly pale and sternly tells you that she is not Peggy, she is her twin sister.
She starts crying and tells you to leave and to never return.
You can smell that she has been drinking hard alcohol and you can feel that she is in serious emotional trouble.
How would you feel?
What would you do?
